EXCERPT from paperbackswap.com:

Five-year-old Keith Edward, who takes a little longer to learn new things, has an interesting day as he meets a woman in a wheelchair and other people who are different from him in various ways.

Rationale for Inclusion: This book provides children with very valuable insights into the world of people with disabilities, as it introduces them to characters in the story who appear to be different. This book provides a window into the lives of those who are disabled or handicapped in some way, and helps to teach children that they should learn to embrace differences in others, as well as any qualities that may make us different from others.  Providing children with books such as this, can help them to develop a greater sense of tolerance and understanding toward those who appear to be different, while also learning to accept their own differences and what makes them unique.
