EXCERPT from author’s website sudipta.com:

In this read-along picture book, a classroom full of young dinosaurs plays with toys, does art projects, and reads books. But each activity is another opportunity for the over-enthusiastic Tyrannosaurus Rex to wreak havoc. Parents and young children will love the call-and-response nature of the book, and young dinosaur fans will appreciate the listing (and pronunciation guide) for a dozen different dino species. The format is extra vertical in order to accommodate T. Rex’s biggest messes.

Rationale for Inclusion: This book is a fantastic addition to a collection that wants to start incrementally adding STEM into the children’s room. Kids love dinosaurs, that’s without question, but some dinosaur books are just a fraction more factoid than others. This book has all the fun and colorful qualities of a perfect fiction set up–a clumsy dinosaur and all his pals gathered in a class room. But this Tyrannosaurs just wrecks everything. With each and every page, there is a new elongated name of a dinosaur used to fit into the rhyme scheme, which helps the children sound out the syllables of the scientific names for the dinosaurs they already know and love.
